 **Joseph Wallerstein**, Contemporary Ethnography and Inequality Workshop Coordinator, is a Doctoral Candidate in Sociology. His interests include urban sociology, homelessness and housing, poverty alleviation, organizations, and networks. His dissertation explores how nonprofit homeless shelters in a slew of U.S. cities adapt to major service disruptions, using the novel coronavirus pandemic as a focal case. A separate project examines how individuals navigate the addiction services infrastructure in Greater Boston. Joseph is originally from Philadelphia, PA.
